Today we started the first gas sampling campaign planned in 2022 at the HotBENT experiment (Grimsel Test Site). For this purpose, Entracers prepared additional samplers that will be available for future projects of our customers.
A collaborative research project involving the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology, the Institute of Geological Sciences at the University of Bern, and Posiva Oy targeted gas-bentonite interactions in relation to the gas dynamics in Engineered Barrier Systems. The outcome of the study has been published in the following open access article:

On Jan. 15th 2022, while running test measurements, our miniRUEDI was able to catch the pressure wave produced by the Hunga Tonga volcanic eruption.
